At a glance, this classic ‘thumbs up’ sign emulates the effect that Disneyland Paris has on children worldwide. However, on closer inspection, the hand in this visual only has three fingers – just like Mickey Mouse. It appears as if this is a real advertisement from Disneyland Resort Paris, since we even have information about the advertising agency responsible for this ad. It definitely connects strongly to the image of Mickey Mouse (the four-finger connection), with corresponds to the current celebration at Disneyland Paris, Mickey’s Magical Party. What I don’t see, however, is any sort of call to action (eg. Book now), which is uncommon for the Disney Parks ads I have seen.
